The Wisconsin Naval Academy Parents will be hosting the 2010
All-Academies Military Ball. Due to the fact that Christmas and New
Year's Day are on Saturday in 2010, eliminating the use of Friday
and Saturday both weeks, we decided to hold the event on
Thursday, December 30, 2010. We have researched centrally
located, but the set-up is perfect for the event we
envision. We secured our reservation of the Grand Ballroom and Grand
Salon with a $2,000 deposit.
While we have tackled one of the major items on our "to do" list,
there are many things remaining that need to be addressed, some
sooner than others (i.e. fundraising). This is where all of you come
in. Volunteers have agreed to chair some of the various aspects of the
event, but we still need chairs for some committees and volunteers to help the chairs
accomplish the tasks they will be responsible for.
The list of chairs is listed below. Please contact
us for the committee that interests you the most.
Fundraising:

Since fundraising is something we need to start focusing on soon.
Two sample letters (Sample
1 and
Sample 2), along with a
Levels of
Giving card and
WISNAPA
letterhead that may be used. We're asking
members to start
putting together lists of individuals and/or companies who would be
willing to donate to our event, and contacted
these people in early 2010. Donations are tax deductible since
WISNAPA is tax exempt. Click here for the
certificate.
Please feel free to contact us by phone at home (262-250-9982),
Chris' cell phone (262-573-7262),
Chris' E-mail or
Mike's E-mail, with any questions and/or suggestions you might
have. We look forward to working with all of you to make this an
event our young men and women will walk away from with fond
memories.
